ViKAS Centre Org has a number of community development projects located across rural Punjab. These projects focus on three broad development areas of; education, awareness and career support; empowerment and environmental conservation. We are currently seeking applicants for the position of After School Care Manager for our Community Development Project Centers in rural Punjab.
The After School Care program is an educational and holistic activity that aims to empower, educate and provide life skills to rural Punjabi children. Presently, this programme is conducted with children from both marginalised and disadvantaged backgrounds, and also local rural children. It delivers educational activities, in a fun, playful and interactive way, which teach the children English and a range of broader topics that aim to increase life skills and awareness. The out of school programme activities are intermixed with broader environmental conservation projects and health initiatives. In the future we hope to develop this programme into a broader and more integrated global school curriculum that would include cultural awareness and life and skills training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, creative and perseverant person who wants to give in a selfless way to the community, focusing on the children's needs and spreading awareness.
There is the potential to combine the After School Care Program with ViKAS Centre Org's ongoing social projects, such as Organic farming, Waste Management, ReSTORE, Health and Social Care, Marginalised Community Empowerment, Girl's Club, and Micro-finance projects.
