GreatNonprofits is a "Yelp" for nonprofits, allowing you to find, review, and talk about great -- and perhaps not yet great -- nonprofit organizations near you. GreatNonprofits makes it easier for you to share your knowledge and experience so that other people can discover the great, often under-publicized nonprofits that are out there. We don't review nonprofits ourselves. Much like Amazon book reviews or consumer review sites like Yelp, TripAdvisor, or Epinions, the reviews and ratings are all user-generated. They're posted by volunteers, clients, and donors who have been touched by a nonprofit and want to share their story about it. Reviews can be seen on our website, as well as on sites like GuideStar, Charity Navigator, and GlobalGiving. GreatNonprofits is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization itself. Launched in November 2007, GreatNonprofits has received media coverage in NewsWeek, Chronicle of Philanthropy, Alliance magazine, and on NPR. GreatNonprofits is led by a seasoned nonprofit executive, Perla Ni, founder and former publisher of the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
