Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of total mind, body and energy healing practiced for centuries both in India and now around the world. Leave UR Mark has an opportunity for international travelers, volunteers and interns to learn and practice Ayurveda in India. This is great for those that are interested in learning more about the biological rhythms of the body and how they facilitate physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. Interns will work with a qualified Ayurvedic physician and therapist to help patients with natural healing methods.

The learning course + internship is broken up into:

  • 45 Minutes of Ayurvedic Theory
  • 3 Hours of practical work
  • Assistance with consultations

Students learn about how naturopaths and non-traditional medicine is used to treat a variety of ailments. You can also focus their work on herbology, pharmacology, hands on treatments in Ayurveda, pain management and arthiritis. You will get a course certificate upon completion of the program.

Highlights of the program:

  • Learn about one of the oldest and most respected alternative medicine treatments in the world
  • Gain hands on experience in all things natural through the practical portion of the work
  • Incorporate meditation, yoga, natural oils and herbs into healthcare

Who is this Internship right for?

  • Those interested in health, nutrition and holistic medicine
  • Those studying traditional medicine but wanting to experience a different methodology
  • First or second time travelers to India who are looking to experience the country thorugh meaningful work and living with other international interns and travelers
  • Those that can commit for a minimum of 4 weeks

Duration: Minimum 4 weeks/Maximum 12 weeks

Leave UR Mark charges a $595 placement fee to help organize your trip to India, pick you up from the airport, and guarantee your position. Housing and Food are available for an additional cost. Our interns love staying in our beautiful apartment in Bangalore. Interns also have evenings and weekends free to particpate in cultural activities and local travel.
