ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:
Established in 1993, City Scholars® Foundation trains non-profit executives to lead more effective and sustainable organizations, which help thousands of low-income, yet high-potential youth stay in school, out of trouble and on track to a brighter future.
Now in its 15th year, the City Scholars® Leadership Academy is the only tuition-free, non-profit leadership development institute training Executive Directors to lead more effective and sustainable organizations, which help thousands of low-income, yet high-potential youth prepare for college, career and community leadership.
As a Harvard undergraduate, our Founder & President/CEO, Kelli Ann Hogan, mentored a young girl from the Boston public housing projects and witnessed the power of after-school programs firsthand. Returning to Los Angeles in 1993, she established City Scholars® Foundation to help non-profit leaders and organizations better serve thousands of inner-city youth, like her mentee.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY:
Our Outreach Intern will play a key role in sustaining the impact and extending the reach of our City Scholars® Leadership Academy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
