Background :

A Bridge for Children International (ABC) is a US non-profit organization, with the vision that "Every Child Deserves a Family. Every Child Deserves an Education." ABC serves underprivileged children, focusing on orphans and migrant children, in three programmatic areas: CONNECT (CSR and Volunteerism), DREAM (Education and Life Skills) and TALENT (Migrant Children sports, arts and teacher training).

Job Description:

At A Bridge for Children International, the Program Analyst Intern will gain sector-specific experience useful for building a career in international education, non-governmental or non-profit administration, communications, marketing, and/or social work. He or she will also contribute significantly to the strategic planning and development of the programs we implement for underprivileged children across China.

Overview of the position:

Some of the Intern's responsibilities will be conducted regularly (daily, weekly, etc.) while others will be long-term ad hoc projects. Sample responsibilities and projects include:

• Conduct industry research on conditions regarding the plight of underprivileged children across China to support program planning and organizational development

• Support implementation of arts, sports, music, life skills, and/or English language programs

• Assist members of the team in editing and drafting communications

• Review feedback surveys and data and complete program evaluation reports

• Assist members of the team with event planning, fundraising initiatives, and coordinating collaborative projects with corporate sponsors

• Assist with website development and information management

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with demonstrated academic achievement

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• A passion for and interest in NGO work, education, social work, and/or social enterprise

• Ability to work with changing priorities and to exercise strong quality control over own work

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Self-driven and pro-active working attitude

• Strong communication and computer skills

• Excellent command of the English language

• Conversational-Intermediate Mandarin is highly appreciated, but not required
