Dollars & Sense is a nonprofit magazine and book publishing company based in Boston. We publish a bimonthly magazine that explains the workings of the U.S. and international economies and provides progressive perspectives on current economic affairs. The magazine is edited and produced by a collective of economists, journalists, and activists who are committed to social justice and economic democracy. We also publish college-level economics textbooks, many of which are anthologies of articles from the magazine.
We are currently seeking editorial interns to do some or all of the following tasks:
Specific internship duties are negotiable; we work with our interns to create an experience that will meet our mutual needs and interests. D&S is a democratically-run nonprofit organization where interns can learn all aspects of the business. Internships are unpaid, but college credit may be available.
Requirements: commitment to economic justice and activism; interest in alternative media; good writing skills. Hours: 10-30 hours per week, during regular office hours. Commitment: one semester, or at least 10 weeks in a summer (start and end dates are negotiable).
