Internship description

International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems.

IJM internships offer a unique opportunity for professional development and spiritual growth. The program benefits those who plan to pursue various career paths, including public relations, law, Christian ministry, law enforcement, public policy, business, social work or general non-profit or international work. The program offers the interns an opportunity to investigate their gifts and develop new skills while working at IJM's corporate headquarters.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study; most positions are filled by students entering their senior year of college or by recent graduates;
  • Professional behavior and communication, both written and oral;
  • Organizational and administrative skills;
  • Close attention to detail;
  • Effective as a team player with strong relationship and interpersonal skills; and
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Software and Windows XP strongly preferred.
