The 100 Years project is a groundbreaking multimedia movement that will shine a spotlight on the experiences of African Americans centenarians. The 100 Years campaign will craft an innovative framework for our country's history by bringing to life ordinarily extraordinary stories of dignity, struggle, hope and triumph. The project prominently features a full narrative documentary film focusing on 20th century America through the eyes of select, living African-American centenarians, and also will tell these compelling stories through photography, music and the written word. Additionally, a robust education and outreach initiative will leverage the media as catalysts for changing our nation's perspective of the last 100 years of American history.
Additionally, graduate level Social Impact Campaign interns will be work with staff to select a significant, independent project of which they will take ownership for the duration of the internship experience.
Education: Ideal undergraduate candidates will be enrolled in or entering the third or fourth year of school, with a strong interest in media, grassroots activism, and affecting social change. Ideal graduate candidates will be enrolled in an MBA or other graduate level program with a strong interest in media, grassroots activism, and affecting social change.
Candidates for the Entertainment/Social Change Internship must be graduate students.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience involving client contact, research and analysis, written communication and/or social media. Experience may include on-campus involvement, jobs, or other internships in a business or nonprofit enterprise.
