New and growing nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing gun violence solutions through advocacy, grass roots and electoral engagements seeks an intern to assist organization with press clips, correspondence, administrative duties, research, and special projects. Ideal candidates are highly organized and detail-oriented, strong researchers, enjoy working closely with a small team, and are willing to help out with a variety of tasks. The intern will have the opportunity to develop transferable job skills and learn about the inner-workings of an advocacy-oriented organization. The position is unpaid and based in Washington, DC. Hours and duration of the internship are negotiable, but the intern is expected to work part-time, May or June through August.
