Community Outreach and Event Planning Intern

Description

With supporters in over 82 countries, Survival is well established and has been in operation for over 40 years. However, we would like to work on the growth and presence of our office in San Francisco, CA. We are offering two unique opportunities for interns to impact the strategy behind our work. Interns will work closely with the Survival USA staff to consider ways to bring awareness to our campaigns and generate support for tribal peoples. The positions are suitable for those interested in indigenous rights issues, human rights and sustainable living. The ideal applicant would be self-motivated and eager to contribute ideas.

Community Outreach and Event Planning Internship

Responsibilities will include organizing small-scale, local events for the purpose of fundraising and bringing awareness to tribal peoples rights.

Applicants should have a working command of Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills (both written and oral). Those fluent in Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Commitment: 2-3 days per week. 3-6 months.
