Duration: One year

Kaarak Enterprise Development Services Pvt. Ltd. is an advisory and professional services organization operating in the social and economic development sectors. Kaarak is an entrepreneurial venture run by a team of social and economic sector professionals. Headquartered in New Delhi, our objective is to make significant and lasting impacts, through meaningful collaborations with development actors globally. Our diverse clientele includes UN agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, Corporate entities, Small and Medium Enterprises and Governments at the regional, national and global level.

The intern will contribute to ongoing projects and business development by providing high quality research and assistance. Intern will gain firsthand experience of consulting in Indian development sector and exposure to range of issues that may include: labour rights, education, public health, gender and social protection.

Expected Tasks:

  • Review background information for Kaarak's ongoing projects
  • Draft concepts notes, expressions of interest and proposals
  • Review, format, proof read and edit documents
  • Assisting with website management and contributing written materials to Kaarak website and social media platforms
  • Support research through primary and secondary data collection
  • Provide coordination and logistical support for effective execution of ongoing projects
  • Any other work assignment by the Reporting Officer

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate degree (i.e. Masters or Post Graduate) in relevant field such as Sociology, Social Work, Public Policy, Economics or Public Health with an excellent academic record.

In addition, preference will be given to candidates who are:

  • Career oriented, highly motivated, tech savvy and with strong inter-personal skills
  • Dynamic and able to multi-task and handle responsibilities
  • Quick learners
  • Able to work under pressure & with minimal supervision
  • Able to find innovative and creative solutions to complex issues
  • Open to undertake travel on short notice

Computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and Internet research

Language skills: Impeccable English reading and writing and speaking skills
