Internship Description: EarthShare is seeking a vivacious, energetic and ambitious full-time intern to attend charitable campaign tabling fairs throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area in the fall*. You will be the face of EarthShare on the campaign trail, so a positive and enthusiastic attitude is a must. Your main focus will be to engage potential donors, provide materials and take away items, and explain EarthShare and our role within the given campaign. These tabling fairs are a key component to EarthShare's mission of promoting environmental education and charitable giving.

**And other areas throughout Maryland and DC as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing materials and give away items to potential donors.
• Speaking to and engaging individuals and groups at fairs and campaign kickoffs.
• Compiling and mailing campaign materials.
• Assisting with campaign related office work at our National Office in Bethesda MD (to include but is not limited to: creating newsletters, brochures, guides, interest stories etc.).
• Light research.
• Light data entry.
• Other various office tasks.

Requirements: Intern must be a self-motivated and reliable individual who is comfortable working independently with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, feel comfortable talking to people, have excellent organizational skills, and be familiar with Microsoft word and excel.

• Must be a U.S. citizen with valid I. D
• Must have access to a personal vehicle (This position involves extensive local travel to and from events, so a personal vehicle is required).
• Must attend intern orientation on Aug 23^rd.
• Knowledge of environmental issues a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Stipend- We can offer a paid intern position (generally around $100 per month not to exceed $200 per month). Stipend amount will depend on prior experience and skills.
• Reimbursement- the Chosen candidate will also be reimbursed for any direct travel costs for campaign events attended.

Start: August/September 2013

(Must be able to attend Campaign Training Orientation on Aug 23^rd, but your official start date can be before or after that time frame)

End Date: Dec/January 2013

Hours: 15+ hours a week
