Volunteer Computer Technology Instructor
Compensation Commensurate with Experience
JOB DESCRIPTION The ideal instructor will have 5- 7 years' experience teaching Computer Operating Systems, Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Platform (Beginner to Advanced), Quickbooks, Social Media. The instructor's Microsoft certifications must be current and they must be familiar with teaching Microsoft's latest product line. Quickbooks a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS • Candidate must have their A+, Network+, CCNA, MCITP, and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certifications or comparable training and teaching experience.
• Excellent communications skills or previous classroom teaching skills. • Ability to work day and evening hours. • Ability to captivate and stimulate an audience of youth, adults, and seniors. Ability to keep class motivated and engaged.
• Expertise of teaching students best practice software usage. (Be able correctly use the software you teach) • Preparation of daily curriculum, quizzes, and tests for students • Ability to answer student questions concisely and accurately. • Ability to provide tutoring on a daily basis.
• Expertise and experience in creating and executing a marketing and recruitment campaign that builds relationships with businesses, schools, other non-profits to create partnerships to train those groups' clients (recruit large groups of people)
•Strong public speaking and presentation skills to effectively present the program to build partnerships with businesses, schools, other non-profits.
• Expertise at placing students in advanced computer technology training programs • Must have an Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Education or Technology
