Description: Assist Red Cross in delivering mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies in the South Florida Region. Will involve case management, disaster preparedness and disaster response.
Interns will be involved in several areas according to the needs of the organization. May be involved in the following according to his/her interests and skills:
- Emergency Services
- Disaster Relief Case Management/Administration
- Disaster Services Management/Administration
- International Services
- Mass Care and Logistics
- Volunteer Services
- Communications/Public Relations
- Services to the Armed Forces - veterans and those participating in ROTC programs will be given special consideration
- Readiness and Resilence
- Grant writing/research
- Finance/accounting

Intern also expected to:
Undertake other organizational development works as needed
Any other necessary tasks as requested by his/her supervisor
Personal Traits & Requirements
Sensitive to different religions and cultures.
Excellent English reading, writing and speaking. Spanish, Portuguese and/or Creole a plus
Confident, flexible, responsible and motivated.
Able and willing to work in a team.
Positions available in Broward and Miami Dade.
