Internship description

Interns at The Creative Coalition have the opportunity for exposure to TCC's programs and administrative functions.

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Intern

  • Independent Films watch, critique, provide coverage for films for organization to support;
  • Researching social and political issues ranging from First Amendment rights and arts advocacy to children's education
  • Building relationships with foundations and the media;
  • Event planning and execution;
  • Member relations;
  • Preparing documents for the public or media; and
  • Assisting with general business communications and office organization.

QUALIFICATIONS: One or More Years of College

Interns are expected to have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to successfully balance multiple work assignments.

Interns need to have experience in the following areas:

  • Communication, press on events and programs;
  • Journalism, such as working on a newspaper or magazine;
  • Public Relations, such as developing newsletters, press releases and press kits;
  • Politics, such as political or grassroots campaigns and/or student government;
  • Public Policy, such as community service or volunteerism with a not-for-profit; or
  • Business, such as administrative skills or academic study.

COMPENSATION: Academic Credit

Compensation is offered through academic credit.

Transportation reimbursement is negotiable.

Headquartered in New York City. The Creative Coalition is the premier nonprofit, nonpartisan social and public education organization of the arts and entertainment industry. Founded in 1989 by prominent figures in the creative community, TCC educates leaders in the arts community on issues of public importance, specifically in the areas of First Amendment rights, arts advocacy and public education.
