Description

RFA is a private, nonprofit corporation that broadcasts news and information to listeners in Asian countries where full, accurate, and timely news reports are unavailable. Currently, RFA is accepting resumes for an unpaid summer 2013 internship with the Internet circumvention program in RFA's Washington DC office.

Eligibility: Current law student with excellent communications skills and ability to multi-task, preferably with experience in journalism.

Internship Activities: Developing secure communication tools, especially for journalists; implementing journalist-friendly outreach and education; raising awareness of dangers and possible solutions on issues of communications safety for journalists and sources.

RFA internships do not, in any way, constitute a promise of future employment with RFA . Although RFA internships are unpaid, interns benefit from hands-on involvement in RFA operational activities which provide a learning experience not obtainable in a classroom setting.

How to apply

Application: Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to interns@rfa.org (identifying "Internet circumvention internship").
