The Union has a brand and a look and raises significant funds for better biking with the sale of merchandise, by looking good and by selling out major fundraising galas. The design intern helps drive the merchandise, fundraising, and party strategies by creating things like T-shirts, stickers, pint glasses, beautiful flyers and mail appeals, and informational brochures that are key aides in better biking campaigns. If you are proficient with the Adobe CS suite and have a very good eye for design, you have the power to greatly benefit the Union's mission of promoting the bicycle in the Boston area. As with all internships at the Union—the responsibility for other office and event work is shared.
Qualifications for all interns:

- Commitment to the Union's mission of promoting the bicycle.
- Happy to work in a small tight-knit team for a rapidly growing organization.
- Organized and self motivated.
- Ability to solve problems and work without direct supervision when necessary
- Residence within the greater Boston area.
- Must be able to spend at least one full day (10am-6pm) in the office each week.
Bonus Points for:

- Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese, Cantonese, Cape Verdean Crioulo, Haitian Kreyól, Mandarin, Spanish, or Vietnamese.
- Sales, customer service, or fundraising experience.
- City planning or bike advocacy background.
- Experience or expertise in GIS
