Internship description

The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) regional office in Washington, DC, seeks a multimedia intern. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and internship start/end dates and hours are flexible (minimum of 12 hours/week ). Duration 1-2 months. Past experience in graphic design, creating collateral, editing videos and other important multimedia skills required. Ideal candidates will possess an ability to work in a team under deadline, and in a multi-cultural, multilingual, and fun environment. Skills and qualifications:

Seeking or obtained college degree in a communications-, multimedia-, or design-related field Strong graphic design or editing (video and photo) skills with portfolio FCP and Adobe skills a plus Strong creative skills and ability to generate ideas and materials on demand Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience or understanding of international issues affecting refugees and forced displacement

Skills in Final Cut Pro (intermediate to advanced), Cannon SD (ideal), Photoshop, InDesign, blogging and social media. Photography skills valued.
