INTERNSHIP: Marketing, Development, and Communications Intern.
SEASON: Fall 2013.
Arts to Grow (ATG) is a non-profit organization that collaborates with New York City metro area public schools and community organizations to provide music, visual arts, theater, dance and literary programs to under-served urban youth. Through our program, students discover joy in learning, become self-motivated, feel valued and gain confidence; ATG strives to provide children with the skills necessary to look beyond the limitations of their environment and become leaders now and in the future.

Marketing, Development, Communications Intern Description:
The intern for this position will have the opportunity to learn about all facets of working in a non-profit arts organization, and will focus on the following areas: conducting fundraising research, preparing/sending annual appeal letters, creating board materials, working with Giftworks fundraising software, and contributing to marketing materials for our program partners.
Arts to Grow is preparing to start a new comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our "5 in 5" Campaign, which is a plan to serve 5,000 children in 5 years. Arts to Grow is also in its second year of the Youth I.N.C. Celebration program, which focuses on growth strategy and culminates in an event at the Waldorf-Astoria in the fall. These projects focus on building our board of directors and cultivating major donors. The intern for this position will have the opportunity to learn all facets of development/ fundraising, marketing, public relations and special events in a small, non-profit arts organization.
Volunteers/Interns at Arts to Grow work closely with the Founder/Executive Director. The ATG home office is located 25 minutes from mid-town Manhattan and is walking distance from the Grove Street PATH station in Jersey City.
