Internship description

Shared Hope International is currently accepting applications for Law Fellows.

POSITION OVERVIEW: On November 29, 2012, Shared Hope International released the second annual 2012 Protected Innocence Challenge report, a detailed report grading every state's domestic minor sex trafficking laws. (See: http://sharedhope.org/what-we-do/bring-justice/state-by-state-grades/) The report examined 41 indicators falling within 6 components: Criminalization of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking, Demand, the Trafficker, the Facilitator, Protective Provisions for Child Victims, and Law Enforcement Tools. Law fellows will assist with tracking pending legislation in all states and updating the analysis and recommendations reports for states that have passed new laws, as well as other projects related to the Protected Innocence Challenge.

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW: Shared Hope International is a 501c3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Vancouver, Washington with an office in Arlington, Virginia (Rosslyn Metro).
