Lighthouse International is pleased to announce a Clerical Internship opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic student to assist everyday duties in the Marketing and Communications Department.

Job Summary: the Intern will provide clerical support in the Marketing Department, helping to streamline systems which will enable staff to meet Lighthouse mission, and goals.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input project information in to existing data base.
  • Inventory and categorize print/project samples in binders.
  • Organize publications inventory, and restock brochures in lobby displays.Create and update project, approval forms, and inventory spread sheets in Excel for department use.
  • Organize supplies and photo binders.
  • Other administrative duties required to support the create services mission.

Qualifications:

  • Must have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, File Maker (preferred), and Mac platform.
  • Outgoing, motivated, desire to learn and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience in inputting information into database programs preferred.
  • Able to lift and move boxes.
  • Attention to detail and organizing skills preferred

Details of the Opportunity: The internship opportunity will start February 13, 2012. The interns must be available at least 4 – 5 hours per week, twice per week. The hours can be flexible throughout the week. Guidance on data base software will be provided as needed. Business casual attire (no jeans, no sneakers) is required during the internship.
