This is an administrative level position at CENIT, which includes oversight of all health-related programs at Cenit. The responsibilities include advocating for the health of children and their families in the south of Quito, daily attention to patients in the school clinic , helping students and their families navigate the healthcare system (securing appointments at the local health center and accompanying students there), followup of more complex cases (referrals and support for further treatment), keeping accurate and confidential records, designing and implementing health campaigns, managing the project budget, doing fundraising for the clinic, networking with local and foreign organizations to gain support for the clinic, and coordinating with CENIT psychologists and social workers to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking the chance to gain clinical and public health experience while making a real difference in the lives of children and their families. The ideal candidate is proficient in Spanish (you will be paired with a Spanish-speaking nurse) and has good communication, leadership, and organization skills.
