Looking for a unique, relevant voice for the coast! We want to publish waterfront news and blogs about the shore. We want to give you an outlet for your conservation activities, cruising stories, book reviews and more. Express your opinions on waterfront issues.
Journalism student (print/video) wanted to cover the NY Harbor waterfront scene for environmental conservation nonprofit. Experience not as important as being creative and self-motivated. You will pitch story ideas and research and write articles for new online magazine.
Coastal Commons is a magazine curated by Going Coastal. It is an online members network of conservationists, boaters, marinas, boatyards, boating clubs and water-enthusiasts and programs dedicated to the protection of public waterfront access and clean, safe waterways.
Going Coastal exists to help people experience the richness and beauty of the evolving state of urban coasts and increase awareness and participation by the public for safely and responsibly enjoying and preserving coastal resources.
Going Coastal, Inc. is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational, cultural and publishing organization. Our mission is to connect people to coastal resources by raising awareness of the immense value of the coastal environment, encouraging a sense of community and common history and promoting preservation, protection and conservation.
Our interns enable Going Coastal, Inc. to fulfill its mission. Interns receive valuable work experience while providing an invaluable service to our programs and mission. We will work with you to develop internships grounded in the your capabilities, interests and goals.
