Music Festival and Green Market Intern Positions

A Global Friendship is seeking interns for Spring and Summer 2013.

A great opportunity for fashion, design, business, sales, and nonprofit management students as well as young business professionals: learn how a nonprofit fits into music festivals and green markets and see many bands and artists perform. Internships are not paid, but can be done for school credit. Find out your school's internship or field work credit requirements and we will work with you to accommodate them.

Our offices are on the border of Park Slope and Crown Heights, near the B, Q, 2, and 3 trains in Brooklyn, so please apply only if you will be able to handle that commute. We welcome graduate students and applicants finishing their 1st year of college (or age equivalent) and older.

FESTIVAL and MARKET INTERNSHIP (3 positions available): Help with all aspects of planning and managing festival vending.

Internship tasks include:

+Organizing music festival and green market vending (including on-site show setup, production and breakdown) +Volunteer coordination +Marketing, research, promotions and community outreach +Writing blog posts +Photograph and video tech work +Contacting, corresponding and building relations with vendor relations contact +Organizing and maintaining photo databases +Fundraising and development +General office and festival work +Anything else you might be interested in -- we want you to see how we work

Candidates should be outgoing, creative, and have good experience working with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with all social media platforms.

Festival Internship candidates would be expected to average at least two days a week in the office and one evening show per week, but generally the more time you can commit the better.
