Leave UR Mark is looking for international interns who would like to work in India for Sustainable Conservation of Nature & Wildlife by educating & inspiring common people from all walks of life, from cities & the remotest of villages, young & old, literate & illiterate alike to love and care for Nature & Wildlife. Interns would be working on a project that rescues & rehabilitates wildlife of all sizes, right from birds to snakes to leopards and elephants, which plays a critical role in maintaining a healthy balance for India's ecosystem.
Some sample work that has been done:
- 6 Leopard Cubs separated from their mothers were Reunited with their mothers
- Thousands of Wild Animals including various Birds, Snakes, Turtles, Tortoises, Leopards, Bears, Black Naped Hares, Slender Loris, Pangolin etc. have been saved during Human Animal Conflicts
- Kilos of Plastic have been regularly collected & removed out of Deep Forest Areas
- Many participants of our programs from Children to Adults have become Nature & Wildlife Lovers and have started standing up for their protection in their own communities/localities
- About 1000 Home Guards, now aware of human causes for Natural Disasters such as floods, drought etc., trained in Environmental Disaster Prevention rather than Disaster Managemennt
Interns can get involved in:
- Outreach programs through social media, website development, content management
- Campaign management for animal and mature protection, plastic waste removal
- Educational programs for children and adults about nature and wildlife
- Creating new partnerships
- Maintaining precise information about documentationand projects
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have an environmental background
- Must be able to come to India for a minimum of 3 months for the internship
- Not a requirement but qualified vets and those with nature + marine wildlife experience will be at an advantage
