Our mission is to grow and diversify the environmental movement worldwide, and to mobilize it as the most effective vehicle for promoting a healthy, sustainable planet. We pursue our mission through education, policy, civic engagement, and events.
Specific Responsibilities:
Education Interns will work closely with the Director of Education to develop educational materials to support both local and national education projects. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting in the research, writing and development of curricula and lesson plans for grades K-12 on environmental education, STEM and green schools; promoting our Educator Network and education programs in our online newsletter and blog; assisting network members in generating and managing specific programs and education events and contributing to the coordination and planning of these events, as well as supporting the day to day operations of the Education Department.
Qualifications:
This position is currently open on an on-going basis. This internship is unpaid; however, a daily Metro fare of $5.00 is included. College credit can be awarded if your institution supports it.
