Internship Volunteer Description

Title: Development Intern Pay Rate: Unpaid

Supervisor: CPRC Director Part-Time Position (10-15 hours/week)


Job Purpose:
To assist the staff and the board of the Denver Metro CPRC in devising and implementing a fundraising plan.

Essential Job Responsibilities

¨ Develops a fundraising plan with the staff and board of the Denver Metro CPRC

¨Conducts follow-up calls

¨Performs internet research to look up grant opportunities

¨Performs some clerical work

Decision Making Responsibilities

¨ Performs job responsibilities with integrity and responsibility

¨ Maintains confidentiality of information

Organizational Relationships

The Development Intern reports directly to the CPRC Director.

Job Qualifications - Education or Formal Training

¨ Junior or Senior Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional in Marketing, Business, or related field

Required Skills and Knowledge

¨ Strong commitment to work in a team environment

¨ Strong willingness to take initiative

¨ Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and management skills

¨ Strong written communication skills

¨ Strong problem solving skills

Other Requirements

¨ Must follow proper safety procedures when performing physical job tasks

Preferred Requirements

¨ Experience in Grant writing

¨ Experience in Fundraising
