Ashoka Changemakers is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented intern to support our partnerships with American Express.
Activities will consist of:
- Supporting and monitoring creative workflow and project management for the Ashoka Changemakers/American Express Emerging Innovators Campaign and Boot Camps (slated for May and June 2013 in New York City, Mexico City, and Toronto)
- Supporting outreach to innovators by developing e-cards, conducting preliminary research, and serving as a support liaison for innovators
- Writing/developing innovator profiles for Judges' briefing books
- Writing e-cards, articles and blurbs to support the Ashoka Changemakers/American Express Emerging Innovators Campaign Hub
- Coordinating with project managers to provide logistical and administrative support for the Ashoka Changemakers/American Express Emerging Innovators Boot Camps
- Supporting and serving as liaison to emerging social innovators across North America
- Ensuring a high-quality experience across our global team; and
- Contributing directly to a fun and collegial environment.
The most competitive candidates will:
- Demonstrate strong time management and project management skills and be able to manage and deliver on multiple projects;
- Exhibit superior writing skills;
- Have a demonstrated commitment to the social sector via their studies, or work/volunteer experience;
- Possess a strong intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit;
- Show comfort working in an unstructured environment; and
- Possess graphic design skills and proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
The internship is UNPAID, but those hired will get their foot in the door of a global, 300-person organization with a 30-year legacy of intellectual leadership and social innovation, and gain experience working with a Fortune 100 company.
