Please Touch Museum®, the Children's Museum of Philadelphia™, is seeking an undergraduate or graduate level student who is eager to gain hands-on industry experience. A flexible schedule is available; however, candidates must be able to work 15-20 hours/week. This internship is unpaid, but college credit may be granted. Internship would begin June 2013 until August 2013.
Position reports to the Director of Media Relations & the Communications Coordinator and works closely with the entire External Relations Department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Museum's social media communications;
- Assist in distribution of press releases for target audiences;
- Respond to media requests for information;
- Manage various databases and information request fulfillment;
- Draft written materials including photo captions and newsletter copy
- Others duties as assigned.
