Internship description

The International Council on Clean Transportation is offering a paid internship opportunity located in our Washington, DC office to support our Finance and Operations team.

This position will report directly to the Director of Finance & Operations. This is an ideal opportunity for current undergraduate students pursuing their degree in business administration or liberal arts who want to learn about non-profit administration. This position will teach the intern skills needed to run the operations of an organization. In this role one would gain exposure to basic accounting processes, financial analysis and reporting, human resources analysis and administration and facilities management issues.

Qualifications desired

The ideal candidate will be currently a Junior or Senior in their undergraduate program or in a graduate degree program. The position requires a willingness to learn, strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as strong Excel and Word skills. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-directed, and creative. Previous work experience is a plus but not required.

Position details

  • The intern is expected to work part time, 15-20 hours per week, for 10-16 weeks during the Winter & Spring semester.
  • Hourly pay range of $10-$20/hour depending on skills and experience (no other benefits provided with this position)
  • The internship will be located in the ICCT's office in Washington, DC close to the McPherson Square and Metro Center metro stations
