Development Intern:
The Arab American Association of New York (AAANY) is seeking a Development Intern. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, grassroots organization based in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Our mission is to support and empower the Arab immigrant community by providing services to help them adjust to their new home and become active members of society. Our aim is for families to achieve the ultimate goals of independence, productivity, and stability.
The Development Internship provides an excellent opportunity to get hands on experience with a dynamic non-profit working with the Arab immigrant community. This is excellent preparation for a career in nonprofit management, fundraising, and work in immigrant or low-income urban communities. The intern will have an opportunity to learn and use the fundraising software "Giftworks" and the accounting software "Quickbooks." The intern will also have the opportunity to draft grant proposals.
