Internship description

Description:

This position assists with the day to day operation of the Community Boating Center, providing help with: rentals, phone calls, walk-in questions, class registrations, waterfront safety, and much more. This internship will work with all our programs (youth camps, classes, rentals) as needed, and is a great way to learn about the logistics of recreation programs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Water recreation experience (sailing, kayaking, canoeing, water safety, etc).

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid work ethic.
  • Flexibility.

Internship Benefits:

Aside from work experience, interning at the Community Boating Center provides opportunities to get out on the water, make connections in the community, and learn about non-profit management, sailing, kayaking, and experiential education. Academic credit may be arranged for clearly-defined internships.

Please Note:

Volunteers and interns are crucial to the function of the CBC, and we are happy to work with you to arrange an internship that is beneficial for all. We are flexible on the start and end dates of the internship, but expect 12 hours/week minimum. If you would like to work more hours per week, we gladly welcome that!
