Public Education Intern

Description

We are recruiting a Public Education Intern for work in Alexandria, VA. This position is great for anyone who is interested in a career in health education, public health, or non-profits. This position is open to graduate students and graduates of those programs only only. A stipend is available based on hours worked.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Cataloguing existing public education materials
  • Updating brochure content, fact sheets, and literature reviews
  • Attending and taking notes for meetings
  • Conducting research
  • Updating web content for accuracy and streamlining it for ease of navigation
  • Communicating passionately and effectively about major mental and public health issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Applicants must be graduate-level students or graduates of those programs.

You should:

  • Have an interest in mental health, writing, or helping others. An interest in public health is critical
  • Have strong writing skills
  • Be familiar with basic Microsoft Office
  • Produce high quality, error free work
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally
