New Jersey Needs You (NJNY) prepares low-income, first-generation college students (only 11% graduate nationwide) to realize their college and career potential by pairing them one-to-one with mentor coaches, providing assistance securing summer internships, and awarding professional development grants.
Our volunteer-driven, two-year Fellows Program began in the fall of 2012 with 25 high potential, first-generation college students, reflecting the ethnic diversity of New Jersey. NJNY is the first replication of the highly-successful New York Needs You (NYNY) Fellows Program and provides both Fellows and volunteers access to a growing, cross sector network of 1000+ accomplished professionals in the tri-state area.
The New Jersey Needs You (NJNY) Programs Team is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering curricula for 28 workshops per year for the Fellows Program. Additionally, the Programs Team provides case management support for 25 current Fellows and is responsible for recruitment of future Fellows.
