Radio Free Asia is seeking a communications intern for this summer. The successful candidate will assist our communications department with its duties managing all internal and external communication functions with media, NGOs and academics; acting as a liaison with US Government entities and foreign governments; and monitoring and analyzing foreign and domestic news and legislation relevant to RFA mission. Applicants must be strong writers and highly organized. They should also have a basic knowledge of current political, economic, and social conditions in RFA target region. Knowledge of one of RFA target country languages is preferred but not mandatory. The internship is unpaid, though academic credit may be available. This internship reports to the Director of Communications/External Relations. . The deadline for applying is May 31th, 2013.
