ALL FOR ONE THEATER FESTIVAL
2013 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The All For One Theater Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of solo performance. The annual Festival takes place in New York City and offers extraordinary solo theater, workshops and panels to increase awareness and appreciation of the form. After the Festival, the organization works year around to book AFO shows in order to create sustainable opportunities for solo artists and teachers. AFO also works to create opportunities in education and community engagement for all solo artists through our year-round workshop, salon, and open-mic series.
All For One interns are paid a stipend of $50/wk plus a monthly unlimited Metrocard. Internships require approximately 20-25 hours per week, though interns may be asked to staff additional AFO events as needed.
SUBMISSIONS
Duties: Working closely with Associate Producer, the submissions intern will serve as the initial contact for all artist submissions to the 2013 All For One Theater Festival. Intern will sort applications, checking for completeness, assist in assigning pieces to the submission committee for review, and assist in following up with artists with any questions or concerns. Additionally, intern may be asked to sit on submissions committees to review materials at various stages of the process.
Qualifications: Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Interest in theatre a must, interest in solo performance recommended. Ability to multitask, and willingness to consider a wide range of performance styles.
Term: mid-March to mid-June
