The Alliance for Green Heat, a non-profit organization promoting cleaner and more efficient wood heat in America, is offering a full-time internship this summer for those interested in climate change and renewable energy policy. Applicants must be juniors in college (or higher), or have equivalent experience. The internship comes with a small stipend to offset the costs of transportation and academic credits can be applied if applicable (please specify in your application if your internship will be for credit). The tenative start date for the internship is July 8th, 2012.
Duties:
This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about promoting renewable energy. This position includes policy research and writing, newsletter creation, website and social media management, as well as a portion of administrative duties.
Qualifications:
Essential to this work is a passion for renewable energy and energy efficiency. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Applicants from wood-burning and/or low-income areas are encouraged to apply.
