The intern will work as part of our small, close-knit team as the Marketing Coordinator.
Examples of the responsibilities:
- Participating in the creation of an overall marketing plan for the organization.
- Becoming familiar with and implementing new marketing strategies.
- Researching, creating and implementing a plan for no-cost or low-cost marketing and advertising.
- Designing, creating and implementing a newsletter to be distributed to our existing database.
- Gather information from competitive companies / foundations to help us remain competitive in programs and pricing.
- Assist with publication management, writing style, design, media relations, brand management.
- Research photo management software to help us determine the best way to manage our thousands of photos and to prevent data loss. Manage, organize and keep photo library up-to-date.
- Update Web site content; develop Web-based promotional marketing initiatives and special projects.
Further, he/she will be in charge of a wide range of marketing tasks, such as writing blogs, managing our Facebook and Twitter accounts, updating our website, liaising with magazine and online advertising agencies and finding new ways to advertise.
Ideally, you meet the following qualities:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken and basic knowledge in Spanish language
- Demonstrate interest in social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and others
- Are working towards or having earned a Bachelors Degree
- Work well with limited supervision
- Are motivated and a strong communicator
- Are a quick learner
