These sets of skills and knowledge allows individuals to make more empowered and effective decisions through their understanding of finances and other core issues that affect their communities and lives.

We conduct various educational activities, both with individuals and communities that cover:

  • English language
  • Health and nutrition
  • Leadership training
  • Vocational training and qualifications
  • Financial literacy – savings, insurance, and credit assistance
  • Legal rights awareness
  • Self-defense
  • Career counselling and support services
  • Global awareness
  • Environmental awareness and waste management

As an intern you will be able to assist with current projects on-ground or innovate new projects that fall within the scope of our organization. Some of the projects are currently inactive, and just need someone to implement them again.

How to apply

You have the power to support the marginalised around the world — by learning, volunteering, interning, standing out and empowering. Your involvement with our projects enables the marginalised to create lasting change for themselves, their families, and their communities — and ultimately for the world we all share.

As part of your internship, free on-site accommodation and workplace internet is provided. Additionally, work-related transportation and phone expenses (partially) are provided for by the organisation for all interns staying longer than 8 weeks.

If you are enthusiastic in working with us, please send the following information to

microempowered.org@gmail.com

Your cover letter including your motivations, fields of work interest, desired period of your internship (with start and finish dates) and expectations of the internship; A CV/resume including the contact information of a referee; A scanned copy of the page(s) of your national passport with ID details.

We will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Start dates are flexible, however preference is given to applicants applying for more than 3 months. For more information on our projects, please visit our website at www.microempowered.org, www.microempowered.wordpress.com
