Program Development & Communications Internship
Salt Creek International Women's Health Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that develops medical devices to improve maternal health conditions in developing nations. We seek a passionate, energetic, intelligent, and writing-savvy individual to aid in our program development and daily operation. As we are a small organization, this position offers valuable, hands-on experience in various areas, including technical writing, marketing and communications, grant writing, and investigative research.
Role and Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and format various types of documentation and marketing materials for the Salt Creek International Women's Health Foundation, including articles, reports, brochures, pamphlets, etc.
- Research funding sources, collect information, and write grant proposals to a variety of public and private organizations in support of our clinical work for the Salt Creek International Women's Health Foundation
- Identify potential partners and initiate correspondence to build collaborative support for the Salt Creek International Women's Health Foundation and its clinical research
- Manage our website; write, edit, and upload content; update the site as needed (this involves some web design)
- Optimize the use of social media outlets for the foundation (this includes Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter)
- Assist in administrative tasks, such as data entry and maintenance of research library.
Requirements
- If applicant is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree: Junior or Senior (required) pursuing a degree in a related area such as English, Journalism, Communication, Global or Public Health, with strong interest in non-profit sector.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Arts degree in a related area, such as English, Journalism, or Communication.
- Must have full competence in MS Office suite software.
- Demonstrated competence in research using all sources, primarily online.

Duration: Approx. 3 months (start and end dates are flexible)
