Position: Marketing Research Internship

Department: Marketing/Strategy/Research

Reports to: Head of Communications and Research

Location: Remote

Compensation: Unpaid

Duration: Flexible, Approximately January 22-April 26

The opportunity: Help build a better world and gain invaluable experience working for one of the hottest Silicon Valley startups in the social innovation space. Gain marketing and research experience working for an innovative platform that funds some of the world's best nonprofits and NGOs. Because you will be joining a world changing social enterprise in its early stages, your work will be highly impactful and critical to the future direction of Bright Funds. Glowing references (for successful participants) will of course be provided.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct customer development research by interviewing working professionals to find out 1) what drives their charitable giving decisions and 2) what they like and what they would improve about the Bright Funds platform
  • Identify and market Bright Funds to community-based networks (online and offline)
  • Identify and introduce local news sources and bloggers to Bright Funds
  • Contribute to the Bright Funds' blog on topics about charitable giving, nonprofits, financial planning, etc

Who you are:

  • Passionate about building a better world
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Loves writing
  • Understands of social media
  • Creative
  • Highly self driven
  • Has a general knowledge of NGO/nonprofit space
  • Has a at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Some experience in marketing and/or PR would be great
