Description

Girls' LEAP (Lifetime Empowerment & Awareness Program) trains girls aged 8-18 in verbal and physical safety skills and self-awareness. Girls' LEAP helps girls develop a diverse set of responses to violence, beyond the extremes of passivity and escalation. Girls' LEAP's Physical Skills techniques maximize girls' options and help girls to make safe decisions in spite of fear. The Self-Reflective skills strengthen girls' ability to say "no" in difficult situations, to create safe and constructive boundaries, and to identify and trust their own feelings. Girls' LEAP partners with Community Based Organizations across Greater Boston to provide programming for girls in their own neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

Manage administrative tasks including:

  • Mail merges
  • Printing of letters, mailing pieces, invitations, labels, name badges
  • Event Database Management including tracking of RSVP's, Thank you's,
  • Online photo management
  • Maintaining and organizing file system
  • Maintaining and ordering of print supplies

Experience and Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of social media and willingness to learn more!
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Organizational skills, including demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to Girls' LEAP values and mission of empowering girls and women from a strength-based team approach

This internship is offered 2-3 days for 8-10 hours per week
