CHRDSL is looking for interns/volunteer for placements from 12 weeks to 18months. We welcome application from the following area: international relations graduates, law graduate, development studies graduates, political science graduates and /or any other relevant qualification for a Human Rights and Development based organisations in Africa.
Campaign for Human Rights and Development Sierra Leone is a charitable, non-profit, and a human rights and development advocacy base Organization established in 2009.
The CHRDSL pursues its objectives through engagement of business leaders, policy makers, ordinary citizens in matters related to the implementation of economic, social development programs and human rights Policies. Also, CHRDSL vision, goals and organizational values, as stated in its manual of policy and procedures (MOPP), reflect a belief in the crucial role of knowledge in understanding and improving the human condition.
CHRDSL empowers people through financial support and specific hands-on projects. Ultimately, CHRDSL seeks to expand opportunities for the poor and the most vulnerable groups to development opportunities through Public Education and Rights-based Advocacy.
We're looking for student interns, volunteers and university collaborators who can help us write grant proposals and run fundraising initiatives, human rights education and our community development programme to work alongside with our dedicated staff team in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Volunteering improves the lives of other people around us, is very rewarding. Volunteerism is a natural and fundamental part of most societies.
