Internship description

Founded in 1993, PCDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding and transforming primary care in underserved communities to improve health outcomes, lower health costs and reduce disparities. PCDC's performance improvement team provides teaching, training and coaching for healthcare facilities and their staff to help them improve their delivery of primary care.

We are seeking a Graphic Design/Publishing Intern to:

  • Help with design of materials for clients such as manuals, guidebooks, e-books, marketing materials, presentations, brochures and tools
  • Teach performance improvement team members how to use publishing layout software
  • Assist performance improvement team members in designing and laying out projects and presentations that clients will find appealing and easy to use/understand

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university on a part time or full-time basis (BFA; MFA preferred)
  • Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented; creative thinker and ability to strategize and work in high paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with i-books author preferred and/or ability to learn quickly without assistance
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite, In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator desirable, but not required
  • Work at least 14 hours per week (2 full days or 1 full day and 2 half days)
