Progress Texas is a progressive multi-issue organization focused on holding elected officials accountable and empowering Texans to improve their state. In recent months we've taken action on issues as wide-ranging as supporting provisions of the Affordable Care Act, working to fill empty judicial seats in Texas' federal district courts, and to stopping the state of Texas from sanctioning Confederate license plates.##
We are a young, energetic group looking for unpaid interns to help fulfill and develop both policy-based and political positions for our communications and research teams. Prospective interns must be willing to work at least 15 hours a week (preferably more); flex timetables are available for strong applicants. Interns will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from completing original research and blogging on our website, to engaging our community with social media and helping crowd-build at events across Texas.##
