Internship description

We are a national clean-tech energy education provider dedicated to training incumbent workers, veterans and career-changers. Our group of bright, hard-working, passionate individuals are commited to providing articulate, concise, easy to understand curricula, courses and online programs to help candidates advance in our sustainable and environmentally conscious society.We offer courses in solar installation, building science, home and commercial energy auditing, and sustainable design. Our product development team is also in the process of branching out across other forms of renewable energy sources and clean-technologies. It is definitely an innovative, fast-paced and exciting place to be!

Currently we are looking for Spring interns interested in clean-technology education. Our interns learn the many different faucets of a small business including PR, Marketing, Operations, Business Development, and Government Relations. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the clean technology industry and wanting to gain hands-on experience at a sustainable-focused start-up in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact construction, architect, and engineering firms to promote our brand and services
  • Schedule individual and corporate classes with firms of all trades and sizes
  • Demonstrate ability to work from an automated CRM system (SalesForce experience a plus)
  • Assist in contract and proposal construction
  • Prepare, issue, and verify invoices and other sales management deliverables
  • Assist in marketing and sales of all product lines
  • Act as liaison with internal departments such as operations and government relations

Qualifications:

  • Interest or background in clean-technology, environmental studies, business, or marketing
  • Passionate about training and workforce development to prepare unemployed or career-changers for the growing demand in the clean-tech industry
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong people person and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, dependable and punctual
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
