Adventure Race and Community Service Event Intern

Description

Concrete Safaris empowers youth to be healthy leaders through green exercise programs that enrich the mind, body, community and environment. We are seeking two Adventure Race and Community Service Event Interns to help us plan our forthcoming event, reporting to the Executive Director.

Primary job:

Secure sponsorships, mobilize volunteers and community partners, recruit volunteers, coordinate marketing initiatives, social media, and website, help with day-of logistics, and basically kick butt helping us organize our first, annual sports event and fundraiser.

Interns are required to:

  • Have strong interpersonal, oral/written communication skills.
  • Be punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented.
  • Have a can-do attitude and not be afraid to speak up.
  • Attend weekly / monthly meetings.
  • Have taken college-level, sports marketing, event planning, or related coursework.
  • Posess Internet-related skills.

Day/hours:

  • 2 - 4 days per week; 10 – 20 hours per week.

Commitment:

  • June - September 2013
