Greening Forward is a youth-driven, youth-imagined environmental organization working to support the environmental campaigns 50 youth groups impacting 9,000 community members. We fund, mentor, and provide skill-building resources to young environmental problem-solvers, ages 5-25, in a dozen states and in four countries. Our social media strategist position will allow an organized, competent individual lead the management of our online social platforms - all with the goal of engaging our current and potential community of supporters.
Requirements
- Age: 5-25
- Working and volunteering experience
- Commitment of 7-10 hours/week
Responsibilities
- Lead the Social Media and Online Content Team in social media planning for the organization
- Blog 2-3 times a month about environmental topics and Greening Forward activities
- Update the Greening Forward internal organization calendar weekly
- Update Greening Forward's Facebook and Twitter accounts every other day
- Build relationships with other blogs and other organizations on social media
- Create social media promotion guides
- Create pictoral content for social media
- Add emails to the Greening Forward e-newsletter
