Do you love finding interesting stories to share with your friends and family on facebook? Have a knack for creating short, snappy copy that resonates? Know the #socialgood influencers on twitter? The Andrew Goodman Foundation is searching for a few good content creators/social media evangelists and do-gooders to support our online outreach efforts. This internship offers a stipend.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Community Management: Daily community management, engagement, moderation, and outreach
-Content: Creating (tweets,blog posts, facebook status updates notes, newsletters, etc.), Curating, Publishing and Distributing content to key influencers, sites, blogs and networks.
- Research: Basic research on trending activities, industry keywords, and relevant topics within our funding areas
-Technology: Flexible with the use and addition of new applications for community management and engagement
Qualifications:
-You must be passionate about civil rights, human rights, economic justice, environmental justice and/ or peace.
-You have some experience participating in online communities, forums, groups etc.
-Coursework in history, journalism, government, creative writing, advertising and/or public relations preferred.
-College Junior and above, graduate student and recent college graduates preferred. HOWEVER, we will consider all candidates with the write combination of digital know-how and do-gooder experience.

This internship is 2 days a week in NY office.
