Through this internship you will work with SHADOW staff and volunteers to market and promote SHADOW programs and events in our local community. This will include creating and distributing print materials as well as helping to manage our online presence through social media and our website. The Marketing and Outreach intern will also attenend local community events such as farmers markets and events held through other organizations. These events are fun, outside and energizing and will allow you to work closely with people and help inspire them to care about nature and the environment.
SHADOW is located in Renton but this position can work remotely if necessary. Outreach events are throughout the South King County area.
Description:
- Help create marketing materials for print and online distribution to promote SHADOW, education programs and special events.
- Identify locations and help distribute information to local businesses and organizations about upcoming events.
- Represent SHADOW at outreach events such as farmers markets, fairs, and community events in the South King County area.
Qualifications:
- Marketing or communication experience
- Creativity
- A love of nature and passion for protecting the planet
